Multichoice Did Not Agree On A USD10 Million Carriage Rights Contract With ANN7

DStv South Africa has said that it did not agree to pay the Gupta family linked media organisation ANN7 the sum of USD 10 Milion as carriage rights fees for its TV channels.

A source of Multichoice DStv confirmed that despite a level of conversations that were had between representatives of both organisations, a contract was not signed. Multichoice South Africa therefore hopes that this clarity will lay to rest the rumours that have been swirling around on this subject.

What will, however, be of interest still to industry watchers is how much Multichoice did pay to carry the ANN7 signals on its platform
