BBC 'Focus On Africa' Programme Celebrates 5th Year Anniversary
Focus on Africa, the BBC World Service weekday news and current affairs programme is celebrating five years since it was launch in 2012.
Statement from the BBC press office said the organisation is delighted that the programme has been instrumental in bringing reliable news coverage from Africa to global audiences.
Since the start, the show has seen some of the most recognised names in the industry as presenters: including Sophie Ikenye, Peter Okwoche, Lebo Diseko, Nancy Kacungira and of course the late Komla Dumor.
Working to get and deliver the stories have been seasoned journalists and big name media practitioners such as Catherine Byaruhanga, Laeila Adjovi, Anne Soy, Tomi Oladipo, Rana Jawad and Nomsa Maseko and Sammy Awami to name but a few.
The BBC says it look forward to expanding the Focus on Africa programme and look forward to it delivering more news, information and entertainment to audiences.
