Namibia: Multichoice Announces 2021 Channel Plans

Multichoice Namibia has revealed their channels plans for 2021. The company's Managing Director (MD), Roger Gertze, said that the pay-tv operator is more than just entertainment during the launch. Multichoice brings actual value for money to its customers and is constantly looking for opportunities to bring Namibian talent to audiences by providing platforms that continue to support storytelling, said Gertze.

The MD said that Multichoice considers itself the driving force in ensuring that Namibian customers receive the best content and services. The pay-tv operator's journey enabled the best customer experience solutions across all divides as it grows as a trusted ICT brand.

Addressing the Multichoice hyper-local strategy, CEO of General Entertainment and Connected Video, Yolisa Phahle, said the Group believes that customers are crucial. Therefore, Multichoice has focused on growing the local industry and bringing content, which is authentic, relevant, local, entertaining, and informative.

About local entertainment, audiences can look forward to Loyiso Gola's stand-up special called State of the Nation, which will be released in April.  The channel also has set up plans for an Africa Day pop-up channel featuring films and general entertainment from all over the African continent in May.  In June, Survivor SA will be returning to the small screen.

Multichoice customers will be spoiled for choice in selection between blockbuster movies and exciting series returns on the international front. Highly praised series such as 'The Flight Attendant', 'Insecure' and 'The Equalizer' will be screened on 1Magic.
