Uganda: Multichoice and Airtel Partner Up To Offer Data Bundles For Content Streaming
Pay-tv entertainment company Multichoice and smartphone network Airtel Uganda have announced their partnership set to offer tailored internet bundles that will enable DSTV subscribers who utilise the Airtel network to watch DSTV their smartphones. The television viewing internet bundles will enable DSTV customers who have the DSTV App to stream live content anywhere, anytime, without using the standard surfing bundles.
The Chief Commercial Officer at Airtel Uganda, Amit Kapur, commented on how perfect the timing is to release this product, especially considering smartphones' evolution. He then added that Airtel Uganda would continue to increase convenience and diversity by constantly introducing innovative products that simplify communications on their network through strategic partnerships like this one.
During a press conference, Colin Asiimwe, the Head of Marketing at Multichoice Uganda, revealed that the DSTV Smart Bundles would further improve the customers' viewing experiences by enabling them to enjoy DSTV App, stream live TV, catch up on premium movies, series and sports without having to be in front of the traditional TV. Asiimwe further added that Multichoice would remain committed to delivering the best video entertainment experience in Uganda through enhancing customer experience. The partnership with Airtel Uganda is a step in the right direction to ensure customer satisfaction, he added.
The joint venture between the two companies is set to foster a successful technological revolution for customers in Uganda as they embrace the 4th industrial revolution characterised by the internet advanced wireless technologies.
