Nigeria: Original Series "Okoto" Premieres To A Private Audience In Oyo State

The premiere of Okoto, a Libra TV original series, has been reported as planned to occur at Film House Cinema, Dugbe, Ibadan, Oyo State on Wednesday 31st March 2021.  The new drama series's private screening will start at 18h00 (GMT+1), with the red carpet opening at 17h00 (GMT+1).

According to Oluwakemi Irinoye, the co-producer of the millennial drama series, Okoto is a narration of how life happens. It tells the everyday experience of an average African youth, including dreams, aspirations, hopes and struggles, discouragements, and upliftment. Additionally, the characters showcase challenges and situations that happen to a typical Nigerian with an aspect of what the charming city of Ibadan has to offer, Irinoye said.

She further said the production of Okoto took place between November 2019 and February 2020.  After that, the team has been working on the post-production of the series, which is now ready for release. Okoto will be prepared to air on Libra TV's YouTube channel from 4th April 2021.

The cast and crew are made up of Oluwakemi Irinoye and Amir Wasiudeen, the drama series's co-producers, and directed by Seun Afolabi. In-front-of-screen, talent is made up of Nollywood top talents such as Ayo Mogaji, Lateef Adedimeji, Muyideen Oladapo, Adeaga Bukunmi, Bukunmi Oluwashina, Dayo Adegbite Taiwo Ibikunle, Bukky Raji, Akinola Akano, Mimisola Daniels, and Damilola Oni, among others.
