Kenya Film Commission Hosts Launch For Kalasha's Fourth Edition Announcement
According to media reports, the fourth edition of the Kalasha International Film and TV Market and the second Cycle of Film Empowerment Programme's front-runners have been announced at a Kenya Film Commission's launch ceremony.
The objective is to showcase Kenya as a shooting location and market the country as a regional hub for film and TV productions, post-production work, and distribution across all platforms and genres that display Kenya's uniqueness, a statement read.
Kalasha International Film and TV Market is a three-day fair showcasing companies from East Africa and the rest of the world. A series of events exist within the festival, including but not limited to conferences, workshops, and pitching sessions. The environment also provides high-level interaction for trading ideas. For three days, various experts worldwide will convene virtually and in-person to engage in exciting and exciting content creation discourse in Africa.
Persons in the media space can attend the market as either a delegate, or they can book a booth for US$350 for the three days of the market. It is said that the platform enables a broader competitive edge for persons in the media space. This year's theme will revolve around "The Future of Content Creation in Africa".
