Programming: BET Africa Sets To Premier “Her Majesty: Busiswa” Reality TV Show

South African music artist Busiswa Gqulu, who made history by working with the highly acclaimed international sensation Beyonce on the Black is King album, will be hitting BET Africa’s screen on Saturday, March 20 at 19h30 CAT.  “Her Majesty: Busiswa” is a 13-part reality show in honour of International Women’s Month by the channel.

BET Africa plans to present the viewers with a visual journey into Gqulu’s daily life in the world of music. The episodes will be ranging from celebrating her authenticity and having a closer glimpse into how she has maintained her prominence in the industry. According to reports, Gqulu is inspired for having partnered with BET Africa, a brand that continuously celebrates black culture globally. She believes the channel has allowed her to express her truth and has given her fans access to her private and spiritual journey, which she has kept confidential until now.

Senior Vice-President and General Manager at Viacom CBS Networks Africa and BET International Lead, Monde Twala said, BET Africa is committed to celebrating Black excellence across the continent and will continue to bring the African audiences’ content culture-led, bold and relevant.  He continued to say the channel consistency seen through the invitation of another local black female-led reality TV series to their channel inspires him.  “Her Majesty: Busiswa” will give the viewers an intimate and exclusive glimpse into the world of one of Africa’s leading queen of song. Part of the show will be following Busiswa as she produces a visual album that she has curated.
