American Actor - Will Smith - In Namibia To Shoot "One Strange Rock"
News reporting from Windhoek, Namibia has confirmed that the acclaimed American actor, Mr Will Smith (of the "Men In Black" and "Bad Boys For Life" fame) has arrived in the country to start the shoot of the National Geographic's show: "One Strange Rock". According to the press report, Will Smith is expected to be in the Southern African nation for around ten days.
"One Strange Rock" is the National Geographic presentation that revolves around exploring the "wonder and fragility of our earth". Produced by Jane Root and Darren Aronofsky, its season one was a 10-part miniseries which involved eight astronauts shared their personal memoirs and experiences of the Earth from space.
Speaking on the programme series renewal, Courtney Monroe, CEO of National Geographic Network said: "With the creative vision of Darren Aronofsky and the expertise of Jane Root,' One Strange Rock' stretches the traditional boundaries of science and natural history programming. It takes viewers on a breath-taking visual adventure that not only entertains but also amazes and surprises."
The show's producers also shared their excitement about the show saying that: "With National Geographic and the wealth of talent and experience of Jane and Nutopia, we took on this ambitious project to give audiences a new perspective on our living planet.
