Sports Broadcasting: CAF And StarTimes Join Forces To Broadcast CHAN 2020
Football lovers can now watch the 2020 Total CHAN tournament from the comfort of their homes via StarTimes decoder as the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) and the digital television operator StarTimes reached an agreement for the broadcast of the tournament.
According to a statement released by CAF "under this agreement, the operating license issued by CAF grants StarTimes the right to broadcast all the competition's matches (a total of 32 matches) in the territories of sub-Saharan Africa." The football tournament which started on 16 January in Cameroon, will end on 7 February.
The collaboration between CAF and StarTimes is the first of its kind between the two entities, intending to offer African football fans more comprehensive access to one of CAF's most important competitions. This arrangement reinforces CAF's desire to facilitate access for the largest number of football fans in Africa to images of its top competition.
