Programme: Showmax Collaborates With Canal+ For First Kenyan Original
Showmax, the Multi-Choice' streaming service and France's pay-TV service CANAL+ have joined forces to co-produce Kenyan's first Showmax Original series.
"Crime and Justice" is a drama series set in modern-day Nairobi, and is set to be released in late 2021. Showmax says it will carry the programme on its platform while CANAL+ will distribute Crime & Justice to its French-speaking base.
"Crime and Justice" plot revolves around two detectives working for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), who try and solve "ripped-from-the-headlines" in each episode. The main stars are Alfred Munyua who plays Silas and Sarah Hassan, who plays his partner Makena. Other notables include Maqbul Mohammed, Paul Ogola, Brian Ogola, John Sibi-Okumu, Muhugu Theuri, Brian Abajah, Martin Githinji and Justin Mirichii in guest roles.
The show was produced by "Live Eye TV, directed and produced by Adam Neutzsky-Wulff.
