Nigeria | Teen Africa TV Launched On StarTimes
Teenagers in Nigeria and across the African continent have a new TV platform dedicated to their needs. The brand new TEEN Africa TV (TATV) debuted on the StarTimes pay-tv platform from 01 January 2021.
Founded by Charles Novia - who is also serving as the station's current chief executive officer - Teen Africa TV is set up as the niche television platform focused on the 13 - 19 years-old, targeting them with "best of original content and programming".
According to Mr Novia, "Our programming has the best of original content, in genres of talk shows, lifestyles, educational, entertainment, and events. Teen Africa TV has the most significant content library and resources for teenagers across Africa, and we have the best of original content for the demographics.
He also said that "TATV will also be online and on YouTube and we are also going on air in North America and the Caribbean in the first half of 2021, giving the Diaspora African Teens a taste of the pulsating values and creativity of the African Youth Experience.
"There's nothing like this, and we have built the biggest visual ecosystem of teens and young adults in Africa," he concluded.
