Cairo International Film Festival Underway With Screening Of 'The Father'
Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), its 42nd version, is now underway with in-person participation that is governed with strict of Covid-secure measures put in place by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation.
CIFF has opened with the screening of 'the Father', a British-French drama written and directed by Florian Zeller. Aside from the screenings, CIFF will also hold the 'Cairo Industry Days' on the 4th - 7th December to spotlight key issues related to Films and TV in Africa.
CIFF's President, Mr Mohamed Hefzy, was ecstatic with pride and joy that the Festival was able to get underway despite all the challenges posed by the ravages of the global pandemic Covid-19. He praised the work done by everyone involved in delivering the Festival.
Hefzy confirmed that the 42 CIFF's programme is packed with a showcase of more than 84 films, each of which represents "the latest and most important production of 2020".
