Multichoice Makes Many New Top-Level Executive Appointments

Industry media in South Africa have widely reported that Multichoice, the largest PayTV company on the continent, has announced wide-ranging slate appointments across its key top-level executive positions.
According to the reporting, Nyiko Shiburi has been appointed as new CEO of Multichoice South Africa. He is due to replace Mark Rayner. Commending Shiburi on his appointment, the MultiChoice Group CEO, Calvo Mawela, said that Nyiko Shiburi "has proven to be an extremely competent executive and has had to navigate the complexity of multiple territories and multiple businesses each uniquely different and uniquely complex".
Another top-level executive change is at SuperSport, where Marc Jury has been appointed new CEO to will take over from Gideon Khobane who has now been moved to become the Multichoice group executive for general entertainment, reporting to Yolisa Phahle - CEO of General Entertainment and connected video.
Marc Jury up until this new appointment was responsible for negotiating and acquisition of all sports-related programming for the SuperSport channels and also looking after the sales and marketing for sports content.
Other key appointments that have been announced by Multichoice include Clement O'Reilly appointed as group executive of human resources; Simon Camerer moved to become the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Multichoice South Africa; Fhulu Badugela will now serve as the organisations' director for Southern Africa.
