Africa TV Rights For German Bundesliga Games To Be Distributed By An Agent - Sportfive!
Custodians of the German premier football property - the Bundesliga - have announced that it will be working with the agency Sportfive to help it distribute selected free-to-air TV rights in Africa for the next three seasons.
Bundesliga International (a subsidiary of the DFL Deutsche Fussball Liga) said it would be collaborating with Sportfive to market bespoke free TV packages which include one Bundesliga match per matchday, a produced preview and post-game Bundesliga highlights show to broadcasters in sub-Saharan Africa.
With regards to the arrangement, Robert Klein, CEO of Bundesliga International said that: "Partnering with broadcasters in multiple countries in Africa allows us to deliver the Bundesliga in a way that is relevant, engaging and tailored specifically to local fans."
The president of the Sportfive agency, Mr Nikolaus von Doetinchem, commented that: "We have all the necessary expertise for successfully distributing the Bundesliga's media rights to the demanding territories of sub-Saharan Africa."
