Multichoice SuperSport Extends La Liga Broadcast Rights In Africa For Another Two Years

Multichoice SuperSport and the Spanish La Liga have renewed their broadcast rights covering another two years to cover up until 2023/24 season. With this agreement, SuperSport will continue to screen coverage of the Spanish top-flight football games in all languages outside Arabic and French. The LaLiga's dedicated English-language channel will also be available to the DStv Pay-TV sports channel.
 
Gideon Khobane, Chief Executive Officer, SuperSport said: "We're delighted to have finalised a new deal as football is one of our popular broadcast pillars".La Liga is a fantastic product, and our viewers enjoy the excitement on show from week to week."
 
La Liga's director of audio-visuals commented that "SuperSport has been a strong partner for La Liga in Africa for many years and our fanbase across the continent has grown significantly during this time. "We look forward to further years of success together."
 
Reports have it that French and Arabic-language of La Liga broadcasting rights for sub-Saharan Africa are still not closed at this time.
