BBC Global News Makes Yewande Adewusi Regional Director For Africa

Yetunde Adewusi has been appointed as the regional director for Africa at BBC Global News - its international arm for all commercial activities, including news, features and sports.
Before this appointment, Ms Adewusi was BBC Global News commercial representative for West Africa, a post she has held since 2016, with the remit to promote the BBC brand and secure commercial partnerships for the organisation.
As the new regional director for Africa, Ms Adewusi to be based, in the main, in Lagos - Nigeria has been tasked with the growth of commercial avenue for, the BBC World Service and the BBC World News.
Regarding her new role, Ms Adewusi said "I'm looking forward to furthering our commercial success within the region. The BBC is unrivalled in its international news coverage of Africa. Known for the highest editorial standards, trust and impartiality, it's an exciting time to connect African brands with our global audiences".
