Eutelsat's Hotbird Tapped To Launch HD Channel For Travel Africa Network

Travel Africa Network has chosen to go with Eutelsat's Hotbird for the launch of its new high definition African Travel channel.
According to the joint statement released by both organisations, the Eutelsat Communications Hotbird's video hotspot will help broadcast the fully-fledged content platform focused on the promotion of hospitality and tourism in Africa covering items such as African culture, food, destination and people.
Mr Nicolas Baravalle, Eutelsat's Regional Vice President for Sub Sahara Africa, speaking about the multi-year deal, said: " Eutelsat is happy and proud to welcome onboard Travel Network Africa to its Hotbird family".
Also commenting on the tie-up, Ms Maggie Mutangiri, the chief executive of Travel Africa Network expressed the delight of her organisation with the work they are doing alongside Eutelsat to launch and keep in operation the first African travel channel.
She expressed confidence that the partnership with Eutelsat's Hotbird will enable their high-quality content broadcast to reach "widest audience possible" within the continent of Africa and beyond!
