StarTimes Collaborates With MTN Uganda And Sanyuka TV To Air Uganda Premier League

MTN Uganda has signed a partnership deal that will make it the official broadcast collaborator of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL). The broadcast collaboration is between MTN Uganda and Sanyuka TV, a brand that is under the Next Media Group.

Sanyuka TV acquired exclusive broadcast rights to air the Startimes Uganda premier league meaning that sports fans across Uganda will now be in a position to access pretty much all the football content from the local league.

MTN Uganda’s CEO Wim Vanhelluputte said that the main reason MTN entered into this partnership was that the mobile operator is interested in bringing back the nostalgic love that Ugandans used to feel for the local football masterpiece.

MTN will host fan zone activations at all games where lucky supporters will be able to enjoy live games from demarcated zones and wear branded T-shirts.

Fans will also be allowed to do match analysis on the pitch instead of the traditional analysis that is done only in studio. For those who will not be able to attend live games, there will be viewer packs where MTN will screen games at various mass-market locations.

StarTimes said that there would also be fan of the day and Man of the match activations with many prizes to be won.
