Liquid Telecom Collaborates With Internet Solutions For 5G
Through the collaboration, the two companies will provide wholesale 5G connectivity targeted at offering enterprise services to their new and existing customer base.
According to the two, 5G connectivity will provide operators and internet service providers with higher capacity, faster speeds and lower latency and greater capacity, enabling businesses to deliver an improved experience to the customers.
Dr Setumo Mohapi, the Managing Executive at Internet Solutions, said that the firm had evolved its networking model to provide a high-performance Hybrid Network that enables clients to utilise all available bandwidth for high availability and total application performance.
The news makes Liquid Telecom the first to roll out 5G wholesale network services that it hopes will accelerate its plans to build Africa’s digital future.
Earlier this month, Vodacom revealed its plans to roll out 5G services in South Africa later this year. Vodacom, which has already launched its first 5G services in Lesotho, will utilise wholesale spectrum from Liquid Telecom for its upcoming South African service, according to the telco’s CEO, Shameel Joosub.
