StarTimes Praised For Excellent Broadcasting Of Ghana’s Premier League -GFA

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed its great satisfaction with the performance of Chinese digital terrestrial TV company StarTimes in the way it has covered the country’s premier league games so far.

Addressing the media in Ghana on Monday, the President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku eulogized the vast improvement made by the coverage by StarTimes with a substantial African presence of the league games during the current 2019/20 season.

The GFA president said that discussions are underway with Ghana’s national broadcaster and a few other TV stations in the country to also make them partners in broadcasting the games through the StarTimes channel.

The GFA has inked a five-year agreement with StarTimes, which gives the Chinese media giant the rights to deliver live broadcasts of all the matches of the Ghanaian premier league. In addition to the Ghanaian premier league, StarTimes will also broadcast a number of selected matches of the first division league as well as the women’s football league.
