MTN Nigeria Rolls Out Music Streaming Service, MusicTime
MTN Nigeria has rolled out a music-streaming service named “MusicTime”.
According to MTN, MusicTime will allow music lovers access to millions of songs from across the globe. The App was launched last December in South Africa and has received mixed reviews since then.
Users of the MusicTime streaming service can stream music even if they have no data on their mobile phones. The telco also claims that the service has no subscription cost, but the user only pays for the time spent listening to songs on the platform.
MTN’s MusicTime was developed in partnership with Simfy Africa and claims to offer the best music streaming experience in local and international music.
Mazen Mroue, the Chief Operating Officer of MTN Nigeria, made the announcement, saying that MTN Nigeria is proud to introduce yet another service that is centred around digital inclusion and customer satisfaction. He added that music is a significant part of Nigerian culture and that in recent times, talented Nigerians had taken the world by storm through the beautiful music they create.
Mroue declared that MusicTime is a platform that would ensure accessibility to great Nigerian and African music from across the globe.
MusicTime currently has approximately 100k+ downloads on Google PlayStore and is listed under ‘Simfy Africa’.
