DStv Ghana Introduces 24/7 WhatsApp Self-Service
MultiChoice Ghana, the front-running video entertainment service operator in Ghana, has rolled out a selection of self-service platforms to help subscribers in better managing their GOtv and DStv service during the festive season.
Making the announcement, the Managing Director of MultiChoice Ghana Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, said that MultiChoice anticipates an increase in traffic to its contact centres for upgrades, reconnections and resets amongst others.
The introduction of these self-service platforms is designed to improve the subscriber’s user experience and also allow customers to be able to spend more quality time with their loved ones.
With the new WhatsApp self-service, DStv subscribers will be able to upgrade their subscriptions, make payments, rent Box Office movies and fix error codes all by themselves!
The WhatsApp self-service guarantees low hassle and minimal wait time as it offers an easy-to-use, convenient way of communicating on a platform that users are already comfortable with.
Cecil Sunkwa-Mills said that during festive periods MultiChoice customers typically require assistance; often outside of the usual working hours.
He noted that the pay-TV operator had deployed these additional service platforms (Whatsapp for DStv as well as the Apps: MyGOtv and MyDStv) to put more power in the hands of the subscribers leveraging on technology that they are already very familiar with.
