StarSat To Add Two New Documentary Channels
StarSat has announced that it is adding two new documentary channels the Smithsonian Channel and Love Nature from the 10th of December.
The Smithsonian Channel (StarSat 226) and Love Nature (StarSat 224) will replace Nat Geo WILD and National Geographic which went dark in September after Disney abruptly removed all of its FOX-supplied channels from StarSat following failed negotiations.
This caused the newly revamped ESPN and ESPN2 that were previously Fox Sports and Fox Sports 2 to never broadcast on StarSat.
Similarly, the rest of FOX Networks Group’s channels including FOX, FOX Portuguese, FOX Life, Baby TV, National Geographic Portuguese, Nat Geo WILD, National Geographic, Voyage, Nat Geo WILD French and National Geographic French disappeared from StarSat.
The Smithsonian Channel is an American pay-TV channel that broadcasts original programming that covers historical, cultural and scientific subjects with various series as well as once-off television specials.
Love Nature is a Canadian pay-TV channel that is owned by Blue Ant Media which also owns the Canadian version of the Smithsonian Channel.
It broadcasts documentaries and TV series related to wildlife and nature.
