Arewa24 Launches All-Hausa Language Streaming Service In West Africa

The Hausa Language lifestyle and entertainment channel in Nigeria and West Africa, AREWA24, has revealed that it is launching “Arewa24On Demand,” a new “Over-the-Top” (OTT) and global subscription video-on-demand (“SVOD”) streaming service.

The new offering will allow Hausa speakers in all corners of the world to enjoy the diverse Hausa language content that Nigerians and other West Africans watch on a daily basis from the 24/7 Arewa24 TV channel.

Commenting on the new offering, Arewa24’s CEO, Jacob Arback, said that the new, on-demand streaming service, is the latest way of extending the Network’s reach to Hausa speakers all around the world.

He noted that sharing a sense of home as well as great pride in local culture is at the centre of what the Arewa24 Brand and the Arewa24 On Demand streaming service are all about. Arback noted that now through the new on-demand streaming service, Arewa24 viewers would be able to share and watch the best, locally relevant entertainment shows with Hausa speakers everywhere.

He added that most importantly, Arewa24 is sharing pride in culture and a great sense of belonging for Hausa families that are living outside of Nigeria or other West African states.
