StarTimes Secures Rights To Broadcast UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers

The pay-TV broadcaster StarTimes has confirmed that it will be broadcasting the UEFA National football teams European qualifiers for the Euro 2020 cup, after secured broadcast rights across all media platforms for transmission in Kenya and all countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

StarTimes will cover the European Qualifiers on its five sports channels and also on the StarTimes ON streaming platform, live and in high definition in Kenya starting with addressing a long-standing rivalry when Germany goes up against the Netherlands on the StarTimes World Football Channel.

Commenting on this latest sports rights acquisition, the StarTimes regional Marketing Director Aldrine Nsubuga said that the broadcaster’s continued investment in only the best sports content would be appreciated highly by then continent’s lovers of soccer, especially during the international breaks.

Nsubuga added that StarTimes had made a commitment to its viewers that going forward, subscribers would continue to enjoy the broadcasting of many more premium soccer properties on StarTimes even during international breaks.

StarTimes announced that the European qualifiers would be broadcast live and in high definition on all its sports platforms as it brings the best in football to its subscribers across Africa.
