ZimboTube Video-Sharing Website Rolled Out In Zimbabwe

A well-known Bulawayo based web-designer Donald Chabata, who is also known as Tyga Sparta, has developed a Zimbabwean video-sharing website called ZimboTube which is similar to the internationally popular YouTube, which has its headquarters in California.

ZimboTube, like Youtube, allows its users to upload, rate, view, share, report, add to playlists, subscribe to other users and comment on videos.

Speaking about this new initiative, Chabata said that he had realised the demand for YouTube by Zimbabweans and thought of creating a similar website that would cater exclusively to the locals.

Chabata noted that just like YouTube, ZimboTube also offers a variety of user-generated and media videos. Its content includes TV show clips, music videos, short films, audio recordings, live streams, movie trailers, video blogging and lots more.

The web-designer spoke about leading platforms such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, saying that these websites were created by individuals and had received full support from their nations in order to become the most recognised brands. He urged his fellow countrymen to embrace their own and support ZimboTube so that it can become a great success.

The ZimboTube website has different features and also allows its users to upload and import videos.
