Former Kwese TV Exec Joins MultiChoice Africa As New Corporate Affairs Boss
Reatile Tekateka, the former PR boss at Econet's Kwesé TV, has been appointed as pay-TV competitor MultiChoice Africa's new corporate affairs boss.
As the head of PR and communications at Econet Media's fallen Kwesé TV, Tekateka oversaw media liaisons with the press for Econet's Kwesé Play video streaming service that is now in the process of liquidation.
Reatile Tekateka jumped ship to Joe Public United in 2018 as a managing partner and has now joined MultiChoice Africa Holdings as the Head of Corporate Affairs where she will be reporting directly to the CEO of MultiChoice Africa, Hennie Visser.
MultiChoice Africa said that Reatile Tekateka is a highly-experienced communications professional who has skills in reputation management, PR, corporate communications, stakeholder management and internal communications.
Tekateka holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, as well as a post-graduate diploma in business administration,
Hennie Visser said that MultiChoice is pleased with the appointment of Reatile who will play a critical role in creating and executing strategies that will help MultiChoice Africa navigate diverse media. Visser added that Tekateka brings with her a different set of skills and experience to navigate the complex and regulated industries in diverse geographies.
