New Family Channel, Pineapple TV Launches In Nigeria
Pineapple TV has been rolled out in Nigeria. It is Africa's first-ever dedicated children and family TV Channel that promises to deliver fun, safe and quality programming.
The new channel will target an audience of children between four to 16 years old and even their parents.
Pineapple TV is designed to educate, inform and entertain audiences in Nigeria, across Africa and in the diaspora, through the use of stories and characters.
According to the channel’s Managing Director, Carl Raccah, the combination of Pineapple Productions and Media Limited is a special purpose vehicle that was founded by seasoned business, production and marketing experts.
Speaking further, the channel’s Marketing Director, Yetunde Falade said that Pineapple Productions is stationed in Nigeria from a content-creation and administration standpoint because this would ensure that the company generates opportunities for professionals within Nigeria’s creative industry, such as animators, scriptwriters, directors and actors.
PINEAPPLE TV is available on Startimes Channel 129.
Kalu Ikeagwu, the veteran Nigerian actor who lends his professional skills to one of the channel’s programmes titled "The Story Book" said that he is proud to be associated with this unique initiative, which aims to entertain, inform and educate the African child of the rich African Culture and also showcase proudly Nigerian heritage.
