Vodacom’s My Muze Close To Achieving 1 Million Milestone
Since the rollout of its new music gateway in April, Vodacom’s My Muze has rapidly proven itself as a force to be reckoned with in South Africa’s digital music scene.
Providing streaming and downloading access to over 30 million songs, My Muze has received 1.3 million visitors and close to a million app installations in the few months since its launch.
The easy to use platform enables subscribers to watch music videos on its integrated apps such as Video Play or on YouTube Music, catch up on the latest music industry news, live-stream radio and listen to podcasts from the industry-leading radio stations.
My Muze was designed to curate music experiences into one single destination and aims to empower young or new artists and ensure access to music.
Another stand-out feature is that My Muze offers aspiring musicians the chance to expose their talents as they can upload their own music with the possibility of being discovered and signed to a music record label.
My Muze is also a partner of the 2019 South African Music Awards and enables consumers to digitally cast their vote on its app for the prestigious Record of the Year.
In an interview, the Portfolio Manager for Music at Vodacom, Rehana Hassim said that the music industry had changed a lot in recent times in the sense that everything is now done digitally. She declared that through My Muze, Vodacom is reaffirming its commitment to the music sector by making it easier for aspiring artists to showcase their music and be discovered, scout new talent and music or even build a brand in a landscape that has become increasingly competitive.
To complement the My Muze platform, Vodacom has developed worry-free data bundles to improve the experience for subscribers.
