E-Media Introduces ITV On DTT In Senegal

After the launch of the radio station iRadio (90.3 FM) and the website in October 2018, the E-Media group in Senegal has completed its offer by rolling out its flagship channel iTV on the DTT platform in Senegal.

Leading up to its launch, the TV station had been tested for a couple of weeks on the digital television platform in Senegal.

The television channel aims to offer general programs “mixing information and entertainment”.

At this point, none of the relevant parties have provided information on the source of the content, which could be acquired or even produced internally by the iTV channel.
In addition, E-media Invest has revealed that its channel will be transported by satellite without being specific about whether it would be by an operator who would provide the satellite free of charge or if the service would have to be paid for.

In the second case, E-media Invest could possibly soon announce an agreement with one of Senegal’s leading pay-TV operators.

To recall, E-media Invest was launched in October 2018 by the current CEO, Mamoudou Ibra Kane and the Director of iRadio Alassane Samba Diop after resigning from their roles at Groupe Future Media (GFM) last August.
