Airtel Uganda Collaborates With Kwese Iflix To Bring Live Sports To Smartphones

Airtel Uganda has joined forces with Kwesé iflix to launch a mobile platform that will offer live sports, cutting edge programming, video-on-demand and download to watch later entertainment to mobile TV services in Uganda.

This collaboration comes a few weeks after Airtel Uganda announced their countrywide 3G broadband connectivity in an effort to create opportunities for the people of Uganda wherever they might be by granting them access to the fastest, efficient and most affordable internet connection available in the country.

Airtel Uganda’s Managing Director, Mr V.G. Somasekhar commented that with a reliable and stable internet connection, anything was possible.
He added that with a reliable 4G connection, countrywide 3G broadband and affordable data bundles, Airtel Uganda would bring opportunities much closer to Ugandans.

Somasekhar thanked Kwesé iflix for the partnership and said that Ugandans would now have full-time mobile access to football during the World Cup season.

The new Kwesé iflix mobile app will offer subscribers a unique entertainment experience, including live coverage of all of the matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia and lots more, on an excellent platform with the best regional, international and local content to download or stream.

The CEO of Kwesé iflix, Mayur Patel said that the Kwesé iflix app would offer subscribers the best in entertainment and sports, anytime and from any location.
He added that consumers would now have unlimited access to all their favourite programmes in a way which would ideally suit their lifestyle – on-the-go, on their mobile device and on their terms.

Patel shared that Kwesé iflix is thrilled to deliver content to even more Ugandans through this particular partnership.
