MultiChoice Nigeria Adds Three More NTA Channels To DStv
MultiChoice Nigeria has once again expanded the content catalogue on its DStv platform with the introduction of three new stations from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and also a spanking-new local entertainment channel that starts on the 31st January 2019.
The 24-hour channels are NTA News 24, NTA Parliament, NTA 2 and POP Central TV. These new additions will air on all of the DStv packages in Nigeria exclusively.
NTA News 24 (DStv 419) is an English-language news channel that will provide news on business, current affairs, economy, social, entertainment, sports, as well as interesting discussions and analysis of critical issues from different perspectives, thought-provoking conversations with experts on current international and regional developments.
NTA Parliament (DStv 370) will provide live reporting of sittings of the Legislative Arms of Government, the Senate, National Assembly (State and Federal) and House of Representatives, as well as the analysis and discussions of economic, political, legal and social technological issues affecting Nigeria.
NTA 2 (DStv 369) is a Free-to-Air entertainment channel that will provide music, movies, talk shows, events and much more.
POP Central TV (DStv 189) is an entertainment and pop-culture platform that will be dedicated to current cultural expressions through dynamic content creators from different subcultures, interests, vocations and groups.
John Ugbe, the Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria, said that the launch of these channels would once again enhance MultiChoice’s local content offering and provide the Nigerian subscribers with more options to pick from.
Ugbe added that the new NTA channels and the POP Central TV channel would showcase original Nigerian content from general entertainment to news coverage that would keep the audience in Nigeria informed of all the happenings within the country.
The new POP Central TV, NTA 2, NTA News 24 and NTA Parliamentary channels will be available as from the 31st January 2019 to all of Nigeria’s DStv subscribers on Premium, Compact, Compact +, Family and Access packages.
