UNILAG TV Airs On StarTimes
The University of Lagos ( UNILAG ) is launching Nigeria’s very first campus television station, UNILAG TV.
The station is which boasts top of the range technical facilities is scheduled to air on StarTimes digital broadcast, Channel 184.
Mr Adebisi Seth Dare, the Managing Director / Deputy Registrar of the UNILAG Media Company, noted that the channel would showcase all kinds of sports, programmes, documentaries, international news and quality entertainment.
Dare declared that the station would aim to be a very reliable TV platform for its viewers.
He said that it is the mission of the UNILAG TV Station to ensure that it always caters to the needs of its audience by offering the highest standard of production values that would go far beyond the expectations of viewers.
Dare added that it is UNILAG TV’s aim to make the new Campus Television channel the most reliable and accurate news source in Nigeria by being factual, impartial, creative, credible, innovative and timely.
In an interview, last November, the then Outgoing Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof Rahamon Bello had at the time said that he was looking forward to the launch of the TV station and also that he was very proud that preparations for such an iconic move by the university had started under his watch.
Bello applauded the university management, students, staff and the university community in its entirety on this significant milestone,
