StarTimes Introduces ‘StarTimes ON’ For OTT Business
On 26th November, Africa’s front-running digital TV operator, StarTimes introduced a new brand for its OTT division, StarTimes ON, Africa’s leading online video streaming service, dedicated to offering the best entertainment and enriched experience.
With the unveiling of StarTimes ON, the original StarTimes App has been changed to StarTimes ON. StarTimes ON offers VOD, Live TV and short videos with covering news, movies, sports, series, entertainment, music, documentary, religion and kids.
Currently, there are more than 150 channels in over ten languages available on StarTimes ON’s online platform with more than140 channels being limited free.
The Operation Director of StarTimes ON, Ariel Lin said that StarTimes ON had more brilliant local and international channels that it would be putting online. She added that rich and diverse content would always be at the core of StarTimes ON’s service.
According to Lin, top global channels, like Fox News, France 24, BBC World News, Bloomberg, AMC Movies, Passions TV, Fox Life, Baby TV and NGC, are already included in the online video streaming platform of StarTimes ON.
Meanwhile, StarTimes ON is very serious about local content and has imported the most highly rated content dedicated to African audiences. Some national TV stations, like ZNBC, NTA, TVM, KTN, TBC, RTI and RTs, are available in their respective countries.
StarTimes ON offers more than 40 self-owned channels, with the upgrading of hundreds of hours of shows each day. Viewers can enjoy ST Novela Plus, ST Dadin Kowa, ST Nollywwod Plus, ST World Football, ST Sport Premium and many more with StarTimes ON.
StarTimes ON also provides a selection of sports matches, including World Cup, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, UEFA Europa and important boxing, basketball, rugby and cricket matches. For example, viewers now get to watch live Ligue 1 and Bundesliga football matches with StarTimes ON, and they can also view the highlights and replays of these great matches anywhere and at any time.
