BBC Studios Reveals Fresh New Look For BBC Lifestyle

At its bi-annual Upfront event held in Johannesburg, BBC Studios in Africa unveiled the fresh and playful new look branding for it's BBC Lifestyle channel.

The lifestyle channel’s brand makeover will be launched from 20th November, and it will be sporting a contemporary and stylish new on-air look featuring fresh palates and designs that revolve around the channel’s exciting and entertaining content. The channel will also be launching a new series, Give It A Year, starring Baroness Karren Brady, the UK’s ‘First Lady of Football’. The new series will further illustrate BBC Lifestyle’s mission to always entertain, empower and inspire its viewers.

‘Give It A Year’ is a reality show that will showcase Karren Brady’s prowess as one of the UK’s leading businesswomen. She will work with people who want to create wealth and start their businesses by visiting them at the beginning and also at the end of their first year, helping guiding and coaching on what it takes to make it big and how to become successful in the business world.

The Upfront event also showcased the BBC’s star-studded summer season of programming across BBC Lifestyle, BBC First, BBC Earth, CBeebies and BBC Brit. South African DStv subscribers can expect a variety of world-class shows over the next six months, featuring stars such as Richard Gere, Sir David Attenborough, Idris Elba, Lily Collins, Mary Berry, Benedict Cumberbatch and many more.

Numerous favourite South African celebrities including Gareth Cliff, Anele Mdoda and Chef Nti attended the event to share in the excitement of what’s to come and also to express their support for the BBC and its shows.
