The MTN Group has appointed Djibril Ouattara as its new Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ivory Coast, effective from the 1st of November 2019.

An excerpt from MTN’s statement reads that in his most recent role as the CEO of MTN Congo Brazzaville, he was a crucial player in the roll-out of the company’s BRIGHT strategy.
The company explained that Djibril had implemented a successful turnaround as well as a network transformation which had won MTN Congo Brazzaville the award for ‘best network’ in the country for two years straight.
Djibril has worked throughout Africa, Europe and the USA. Prior to joining MTN, he had been the CEO at Canal Plus Ivory Coast and at Etisalat-Atlantique Telecom Togo respectively.
