Community broadcasting is key to ensuring that vital information that is often inaccessible by public and commercial media outlets is available to all audiences.

Regardless of the primary importance of this medium, communities broadcasting stations and organisations still face difficulties with securing and deploying resources adequately, facing various challenges and constraints that range from financial, legal, and human resource issues to conditions created by national media laws and public policy.


As part of our ongoing Industry Programme to support and promote the value of community broadcasting in Africa, Broadcast Media Africa (BMA), in collaboration with 2Gwana Media, will host a virtual industry forum on “How To Adequately Resource Community Broadcasting In Africa”; targeted at the critical issues around the allocation and deployment of adequate resourcing to community broadcasters.
