  • The key challenges that content providers face are

    • Lack of collateral to secure bank loans because banks see TV production as a high risk

    • Inadequate intellectual property rights

    • Influx of foreign productions at cheaper costs

  • The current financing infrastructure needs to improve in order to support the development of quality local content, this can be done by

    • Government increasing the budget for creative arts

    • Loan Facilities for Creative arts

    • Establishing a truly collaborative environment by the TV Stations

    • Media companies improving intra-facility collaboration
