Nigeria: Linda Ikeji, Renowed Blogger, To Launch Online TV Platform

The new Linda Ikeji TV, an online streaming service, has launched with the hope becoming the leader in African online video content just like its blog did in the blogging world.

On the new channel, viewers and lovers of the Linda Ikeji brand will have access to entertainment, movies,  dramas, series, comedy shows, documentaries and a new kind of reality tv shows.

The streaming service plans to charge users subscription fee on a monthly and yearly basis to watch all the content that is available on the channel at

The founder, Linda Ikeji, shared a post on her Instagram, that she wanted her new online TV channel to be the Netflix of Africa. Netflix is the world’s most significant online video streaming service with about125 million subscribers and an11 billion dollars annual profit.

Linda Ikeji who was recently announced as mother-to-be has also indicated that the DSTV version of her channel will be launched later in 2018. She said the what was more of a priority to her is the online channel which will go around the world rather than being restricted to just Nigerians who reside in Nigeria.

Contents that be viewed on the new online channel are shows like King Tonto, Toyin Abraham: True and Bare, Oyinbo Wives of Lagos, Made In Gidi, Gidi Girls, Ajegunle With Love, Football Wives, Ex-girlfriends of Nigerian Entertainers, Highway Girls of Eko (a show on real-life prostitutes), among others. There will be TV shows such as Verified, Phenomenon, Classics, Double Trouble, Gossip Court, Leading Ladies Africa, The Report Card, Bars, and TV series such as Igwe Must Hear This and The Paranormal House on Brown Road.

The media mogul also indicated that Linda Ikeji Media had bought some TV series and movies from independent producers which air on the Linda Ikeji TV platform.
