Nigeria: MultiChoice Launches World Cup Campaign, Reduces Prices DStv And GOtv Decoders

The General Manager, Sales and Marketing for Multichoice Nigeria, Martin Mabutho while speaking at the launch of its world cup campaign programme announced a price slash for DSTV and GoTV decoders during the 2018 World Cup period.

The leading pay-TV company said customers can now purchase the DSTV HD decoder, which includes a dish kit and one-month subscription on the compact bouquet, at a 14 percent discount of N8,500, instead of the initial N9,900.

DSTV also said that its GoTV decoder which comes with an antenna and one-month subscription on GoTVMax would now sell for N5,900.

The discounted prices began selling as Multichoice launched its world cup campaign programme captioned: “Connect with Greatness.”

Mabutho said: “FIFA World Cup is one of the most significant events in the world of sports that features the best players and national teams all fighting for one ultimate prize. We are proud that we have been broadcasting the football tournaments since 2006 and this edition won’t be any different for our viewers as we will be bringing the experience of all of the 64 matches of the World Cup Live and in HD on both DStv and GOtv.

The GM Sales and Marketing also said that Nigerians can now enjoy all the games from the comfort of their homes with friends and family as well as on the go with up to five different mobile devices via the DStv Now app. He added that DSTV would also offer exclusive live coverage from Russia with expert analyses from the renown football professionals among other side attraction.

During the games, subscribers will enjoy live happenings from the world cup it's on six dedicated SuperSport channels irrespective of the DStv package viewers are subscribed to.

GOtv subscribers will be provided with all of the 64 World Cup games on both the GOtv Max and the GOtv Plus packages, while GOtv Value customers can have access to 56 games during the World Cup.

Before the launch of DSTV's World Cup campaign, it had already made available a World Cup pop-up channel, on SuperSport 14 (SS14).
