Study Shows SES Reaches Over 11 Million TV Homes In Nigeria
According to the study, out of the 11 million TV homes, 3.5 million are directly served by its satellite fleet in 2017– a double increase compared to 2015. This result means SES now directly provides 37 percent of the satellite to TV homes in Nigeria. The monitor also shows that Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) homes fed indirectly by SES also contributed to the improved reach.

Brown added that the satellite company is excited by the growing technical reach at 28.2 degrees East, which broadcasters and content programmers will be able to take advantage of to increase their audience. He mentioned that the results show that the hybrid DTH/DTT approach is the winning strategy to deliver TV entertainment to the highest number of TV homes.
