CAF Looking To Review And 'Reverse' 10-Year TV Broadcast Rights Deal With Lagardere

The new boss of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has strongly suggested that the organisation might review the TV broadcast rights awarded to French company Lagardere by his predecessor, Mr. Issa Hayatou.

Mr Ahmad Ahmad, from Malagasy, told reporters shortly after assuming office that the terms of the existing deal - that gives Largadere the TV broadcast rights to AFCON for next ten years - do not represent appropriate commercial value.

He is of the opinion that the contract, even when the ongoing court actions currently instituted against it have run their course, was probably going to be reversed.
