Amazon Video: Multi-Local Strategy Is Key To VoD Success

'There are no global customers; content must be truly local if we are to succeed." This view was shared by the worldwide head of content for Amazon Video speaking at the MIPTV in Cannes yesterday.

He said that while there have been some shows from the Amazon Video stables that have gained global appeal, the future of content for all forms of entertainment videos will increasingly be shaped and driven by its 'localisation'.

To this end, Amazon video will be investing in a lot of 'localised' original programming across the globe.
