SABC's New Interim Board Promises To Restore 'Tarnised' Image

The newly-appointed interim board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has pledged to do its utmost to restore the 'tarnished' image of the Corporation.

In a clear-the-air meeting with SABC's 'rank and file' staff, the board, after listening to all the issues highlighted including allegations of corruption and nepotism, promised to 'get to the heart of the problems' and lift the organisation back to its rightful position.

Another issue that the interim board will look into is the status and relationship of the former COO Mr Hlaudi Motosoeneng with the public broadcaster.

The interim board has a six-month shelf life.
