Startimes To Expand Into More Of Africa With 'Quality' Content

Startimes, the Chinese digital television company has said it will drive further expansion into Africa with more "quality content".

Speaking on Monday in Kenya at the launch of integrated digital TV sets to the Kenyan market, Mark Lisboa, Vice President Startimes Media, noted that the company is experiencing growing demand for quality content from across Africa, and they are now poised to meet the demand.

He stated that by the end of 2017, Startimes would be present in 20 African countries that will include Angola, Egypt, Namibia and Swaziland. Startimes currently have around 10 million subscribers in Africa.
