MultiChoice Kenya Welcomes New Managing Director

The pay-TV operator MultiChoice has appointed Nancy Matimu as its Managing Director for its operations in Kenya.

The operator said that her appointment is expected to further strengthen the business in the East African country, where MultiChoice offers the DStv satellite as well as the lower-cost GOtv brands.

Before joining MultiChoice Kenya, Matimu was the Vice-President and Head of Market Development in the sub-Saharan Africa division of MasterCard.

She previously worked at HFC Bank as the Chief Digital and Marketing Officer and at Safaricom where she held different roles including Head of Enterprise Products and Innovation, Head of Home and Content, Head of Internet and Content and Head of Consumer Products and Services.

She has also worked at Airtel Africa as the Head of Products and Innovation Revenue Management and General Manager of Marketing.

Maharage Chande, MultiChoice Africa’s Northern Region Director, said that this new appointment would play a significant role in delivering the experience that the subscribers deserve.

Nancy Matimu said that she is delighted to join Kenya’s leading video entertainment operator and to be the first-ever female Managing Director of the company.

She added that she looks forward to leading the business at what is an exciting time for the industry and the Multichoice Group in its entirety.
