MultiChoice Angola To Roll Out VAT-Inclusive DStv Package
MultiChoice Angola has announced that it will soon be launching a new DStv bouquet that will already include the value-added tax (VAT) in its fees.
According to statements provided by inside sources, MultiChoice Angola, plans to roll out this new VAT-inclusive DStv package with the leading pay-TV operator as part of a plan to try to ease the financial pressure on Angolans by helping households during this time as the country faces a tough economy.
MultiChoice Angola is a franchise company in that country led by Jembas Assistência Tecnica, who runs the DStv pay-TV product from MultiChoice Africa.
According to recent reports, new consumer market research in Angola has shown that besides just being divided into lower, middle and upper classes, Angolan homes can now be subdivided more accurately and then targeted by companies according to their different disposable incomes.
MultiChoice Angola’s new DStv package aims to help prevent DStv subscribers from cancelling their pay-TV subscriptions, with some of the most-watched TV channels being combined into the forthcoming VAT-inclusive subscription package.
The new package will be priced between the two lowest and seven higher-priced packages. It will bring the total number of DStv tiers available in Angola to 10.
