American Comedian Steve Harvey To Produce 'Family Feud' South Africa And Ghana Versions
The American comedian Steve Harvey has announced that he will be producing and hosting both Family Feud South Africa and Family Feud Ghana versions that will broadcast in Africa from early next year, produced by Rapid Blue.
Steve Harvey is currently on a Southern Africa tour, and during his visit to Botswana last week, he promised to invest in that country's TV sector.
He has now travelled to South Africa and announced at a press conference in Johannesburg that he would be presenting Family Feud SA and a Family Feud Ghana version with South African and Ghanaian families.
In Family Feud, a TV show that Steve Harvey started hosting in 2010 in the US, two families compete to give the right responses from a group of people to survey questions as they try to win prizes according to what the most general answer was.
The show has been seen in over 50 international markets outside of the States and will now include Africa with Family Feud SA and Family Feud Ghana which will be the first African versions.
Steve Harvey said that bringing Family Feud to Africa had long been a dream of his. He added that he expects the show to lead to many new media and business projects across the continent.
Duncan Irvine, Rapid Blue's CEO, said the Family is the cornerstone of life in Africa, and that he is confident that some wonderful families would be seen taking part in the show and that both seasons would resonate well with African audiences.
Irvine added that Rapid Blue is planning other projects with Steve Harvey and his team for viewers in Africa.
