Fox Africa Boss Repositioned As Restructuring Continues
The Walt Disney Company has revealed that it has repositioned the role of Fox Africa boss, Evert van der Veer, who will now be looking after all of the combined Fox and Disney channels in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, in a new TV channels supervision role.
The job elevation has no specific title yet attached and comes a year after Evert van der Veer was appointed as Fox Networks Group Africa's General Manager.
In his role Evert van der Veer was overseeing Fox Networks Group's pay-TV across Africa, namely, FOX, FOX Life, Nat Geo WILD, National Geographic, Baby TV and FOX Sports available on pay-TV platforms such as MultiChoice's DStv, Cell C's black SVOD service StarTimes's StarSat, and others, as well as non-linear services such as National Geographic+ and FOX+.
With Disney's ongoing global management restructuring after its takeover of 21st Century Fox, Evert van der Veer is now leading the "media networks" division of The Walt Disney Company Africa, responsible for the combination of TV channels that were previously part of the Fox Networks Group business as well as the Disney channels.
Evert van der Veer will now report to Christine Service, the Senior Vice President and Country Manager of The Walt Disney Company Africa.
