StarTimes And Major League Wrestling Collaborate To Broadcast ‘Fusion’ In Africa

Major League Wrestling has announced that it has entered into a broadcast agreement to air its front-running weekly hour-long show MLW Fusion non-exclusively all across Africa on StarTimes platforms.

The partnership will kick-off this summer with StarTimes broadcasting weekly action-packed episodes of MLW FUSION. The show will feature wrestlers fighting it out in professional wrestling matches and will also show one-on-one interviews of the wrestlers speaking about life as a professional MLW wrestler.

Court Bauer, the Founder and CEO of MLW said that the African region is very important to Major League Wrestling, and MLW is thrilled to begin this partnership with StarTimes to deliver MLW to the large pool of fans in Africa.

StarTimes Media, one of Africa’s leading pay-TV providers with more than 9 million subscribers globally, has provided the transmission of over 80 local and international channels on the StarTimes platform.

The pay-TV service provider has seven of its own original channels, with content that covers news, music, sports, movies, documentaries, TV series and entertainment.

StarTimes services are available in more than ten African countries, including Tanzania, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, Sudan and Burundi. The Chinese company also has two broadcasting centres in Abuja and Dar es Salaam.
